This fly is a great glass minnow or anchovy imitation when the fish are keyed in on very small baits. It is tied with craft fur, mylar tubing, 3-D Pelagic eyes and topped with some black/gold/green Flashabou. I tie it on sizes 4,6 & 8 for beach snook. Keep it small and sparse and use a fluorocarbon leader when the fish are spooky.
I am going to tie some bendback style and give them a try on my next bonefish trip. Chico Fernandez mentions in his book Fly Fishing for Bonefish that as bonefish get larger they acquire a taste for smaller fishes -"keep this in mind when you select a fly for a big bone"
