Orange and yellow are a killer combination in this prehistoric sized shark fly. This fly is over 8" long and tied on a 7/0 hook with Big Fly Fiber and pearl/gold Flashabou with 1/2" Pelagic Eyes in Gold/Red/Black. It is a piece of meat for sure but relatively easy to cast for its size.
Sharks are often an overlooked target as a fly species and are not easy to fool. They are tough fish and will absolutely test every piece of your equipment in their long powerful runs.  Black tips and bulls our our favorite targets off  Cape Romano. If you are looking for something different to do when the tide is high or water off color, give sharks a try.
We pinch the barb down on these flies for better hook penetration and easy release. We like the Arc dehooker tool for releasing these fish. This tool keeps the chompers away from your hands and is easy to use.
